View NAS servers

Network-attached storage is a file-level storage architecture that makes stored data more accessible to networked devices.

About this task

Network-Attached Storage (NAS) servers use the SMB, NFS, and FTP protocols to catalog, organize, and transfer files within file system shares and exports.

Steps

Select a storage system that supports PowerMaxFile.
Select Storage > File.
Select the NAS SERVERS tab.
The following properties display:
- Name—NAS server name
- Primary Node—Identity of the primary node where the NAS server was created.
- Backup Node—Identity of the backup node where the NAS server was created.
- Preferred IPv4 Interface—Preferred IPv4 interface
- Preferred IPv6 Interface—Preferred IPv6 interface
- SMB Server—Identity of the SMB server associated with the NAS server
- NFS Server—Identity of the NFS server associated with the NAS server
- Health—Indication of the health of the NAS server
The following controls are available:
- Create— Create NAS servers
- Modify— Modify NAS servers
- — Delete NAS servers
- Change Preferred interface— Change preferred interface for a NAS server
- Clone— Clone NAS servers
- —Displays a list of NAS server properties (see View NAS server details).
